Casa Padronale
Saint Donino made part of this borgo his home during the 12th Century, and now two of the many buildings (Casa Padronale and Casa Custode) have once again been restored to habitable condition, having been subject to careful restoration retaining the original features. Importantly, the borgo has also adapted for the future by installing it’s own electricity and hot water production capability via photovoltaic and solar water panels as well as having the ability to charge electric vehicles.
San Donino's groto forms the central part of the third house - Casa San Donino, and overlooks the Niccone valley.
Lastly, the chapel, built in maybe the C15 to cater for the borgo's inhabitants, sits at one end of the borgo, is restored and has an old pizzeria underneath.
The borgo sits 700m up in the valley, on the Umbrian-Tuscan border.
